1. What we collect

When you create an account, we collect your name and email address via Clerk (our authentication provider). When you use our tools, we collect the content you submit (audio files for transcription, text for speech generation) and the outputs we produce (transcripts, generated audio). We also collect standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited) for security and performance monitoring.

2. How your content is stored

• Uploaded audio (transcription): Audio files you upload for transcription are processed and are not retained after transcription completes. The resulting transcript text is stored in our database as part of your history.
• Generated TTS audio: Audio generated from your text is stored in Supabase Storage as part of your library so you can replay and download it. You can delete individual generations from your history at any time.
• Text input: Text you submit for speech generation is stored alongside your audio output so you can reference or re-generate it later.

3. Third-party processors

We share your content with the following processors solely to deliver our service:

• Google Gemini API — Audio and text you submit are sent to Google's Gemini API for transcription and speech synthesis. Google's data-processing terms apply. We do not permit Google to use your content to train its models under our API agreement.
• Clerk — Handles authentication, account management, and session tokens.
• Supabase — Stores your transcripts, generated audio files, and account data in a hosted PostgreSQL database and object storage.
• Razorpay — Processes subscription payments. We do not store your card details; Razorpay handles all payment data.
• Upstash — Provides Redis-based rate limiting and job queuing. Request metadata (not content) passes through Upstash infrastructure.

4. AI processing disclaimer

Transcription accuracy is not guaranteed. Outputs may contain errors, omissions, or misattributed speech — especially for noisy audio, strong accents, or technical terminology. Generated speech is an AI approximation: tone, pacing, and pause timing are determined by the model and may not perfectly reflect your intent. Do not rely on transcripts for legal, medical, or safety-critical purposes without human review.

5. Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time. To delete your account and all associated data (transcripts, generated audio, profile), contact us at admin@okvoiceai.com. Individual generations can be removed from your History page without deleting your account. We will fulfil deletion requests within 30 days.

6. Cookies and tracking

We use essential cookies for authentication sessions (managed by Clerk). We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking pixels.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. Material changes will be communicated by email or a notice on the site. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
